Excellent Service and great features
Over the years I've had several opportunities to work with various web hosting companies. Some I've been impressed with and others well, not so impressed. So far my personal experience with GreenGeeks has been very positive.
A little over a year ago we were working on a project that required some web hosting. I thought this would be a good time to give GreenGeeks a try and see what all of the hype that I was hearing was really about. I also liked how they purchased 3 times the wind energy that they used.
I went through the signup process which was very easy. It was your standard web hosting signup process. They offer a free domain with your hosting but we already had purchased the domain name. After filling out the form and then submitting it on their website I received an email about 5 minutes later with all of my account info. One of the things that I noticed in their email was that they offered to move my existing website over for free. I didn't need this service but I thought this was a great service they offered, especially for someone that may not be that savvy in web hosting.
After getting my log in info I proceeded to log in and start setting up my web site. GreenGeeks uses cPanel as their control panel. If your not familiar with cPanel it allows you to manage virtually every aspect of you website from one location. From one screen you can create email accounts, modify DNS, create email forwarders, monitor your website and much more. cPanel is considered to be one of the best web hosting control panels out there.
I installed WordPress using Softaculous right from the cPanel control panel. This was the first time I had ever used Softaculous and I was very impressed. This has to be one of the sleekest one-click install programs I have seen. It allows you to choose which platform you want to install i.e. WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and many, many others. I selected WordPress, clicked install and within a few minutes I had our new site up and running.
We haven't experienced any downtime or slowness. So far its been very hard to find any negatives about GreenGeeks.

Exactly what I was looking for
GreenGeeks is what I've been looking for. I love that they have just about any option or feature you could want. I'm using their shared hosting now but I hope to grow my business and then upgrade to their VPS hosting package. I went with GreenGeeks because it allowed me to grow my website as my business grows. I looked at a few other hosting companies and I would have to move by site to another provider if I needed to upgrade my hosting account.

GreenGeeks has been very good to me. I moved my website to them last year and have been very happy with them. My website is so much faster now than it was at my last web hosting company. I would recommend them to anyone.
